FOTD | Everyday Makeup, Lately

DSC05149-2.jpg

Most days, I have been keeping it quite simple. As much as I enjoy the process of applying makeup, I sometimes just cannot be bothered. Since I have been loving and reaching for the same products these past couple of months, I thought I would share with you my everyday makeup routine.

Since I polished off the NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint in Alaska, I moved on to the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation in Light-Medium Sand. Despite having "full coverage" in the name, I find the coverage to be quite buildable. I typically apply it with a Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki brush for a medium coverage, but it works great with a beautyblender as well for a sheer coverage.

As a blush, I have been reaching for the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Seduce. I have been using it a lot since I completely used up Exposed. This is a more warm-toned pink compared to Exposed, and just perfect for a neutral summer look. As usual, I've been doing my brows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade in Chocolate. I swear this product just never ends. I have been using this product on and off for about a year now, and I've barely made a dent.

Moving on to the eyes, I've fallen back in love with the winged liner look. I've been doing it with the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. No surprise there. For mascara, I'm still using the new STELLAR* Absolute Mascara*. I raved about it a little in my STELLAR* introduction post.  Since then I've seen some mixed reviews on Sephora saying it tends to smudge, but for some reason I haven't experienced this even with slightly oily lids.

On the lips, I have been keeping it simple. I either don't wear lip products at all, or I reach for one of the following two products. Some of you may know how much I love the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow n' Arrow. I just can't get over how long it lasts on the lips and how even and opaque the finish is. Despite being a long wearing and matte product, it is also not particularly drying. For something a little creamier, I've been reaching for the Bite Beauty Lip Pencil in 036. While it can be used as a lip pencil, I just wear it all over the lips sometimes. It is long lasting and feels so comfortable.

I hope this satisfies some of the requests I've received regarding my latest everyday makeup favourites!
