One Product, Two Ways

Partially out of laziness, but mostly due to the desire to own less and less products, I'm always trying to find ways to use a product in more than one way. Although most products are marketed for one particular use, they are often surprisingly good for other purposes too. Today I'm sharing five products that are multipurpose without being marketed to do so.

I dedicated a post to this trick a little while back, and that is to use the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, or any mostly translucent powder, to set cream eyeshadows. It does wonders for me, and all it takes is an extra quick dusting of powder with a fluffy brush over the lids to set things in place. Another product meant to be used on the face that I use on the eyes, is the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer*. It makes a great all over bronzer and contour shade, and that being said it is also a great crease shade to add definition and warmth to any eye look. I particularly like it to help deepen and diffuse a shimmery eye look.

Speaking of shimmery eye looks, let's talk about this next product which again is a face product I use on the eyes. The BECCA Rose Gold Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed is gorgeous as a highlight, and even more beautiful on the lids. I don't love shimmer on the skin, but I do love shimmer on the eyes, and the BECCA highlighters are just perfect.

Another trick I've mentioned before, is using the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Masks over a matte lip for shine and gloss without the stickiness of most lip glosses. Although I only have the shade Smashed for now, I definitely have my eyes on Champagne as I think it would be perfect on top of an everyday, my lips but better shade.

Lastly, I have been loving the Sigma F03 High Cheekbone Highlighter Brush*. It is so good for both highlighting, and cream blushes. I mentioned this in my last post on the new BITE Beauty Multisticks as my go-to brush for applying the product as a blush.

What are some products you use in more ways than one?
