June 2016 Favourites
This month's favourites are heavy on the makeup bits. I discovered new loves and rediscovered some bits I use to love. It's a great mix of simple, summer suitable and everyday items that I haven't stopped using all month. Without further ado, here are my June favourites.
I have been keeping the eye makeup very simple this whole month, focusing on using three shades in the Urban Decay Naked2 Basics palette. Using my Sigma E39 Buff and Blend*, I lightly sweep Cover and Primal in the crease to add a little depth. I then pat Stark all over the lids. By the way, right now you can 30% off all Sigma brushes when ordering off the Sigma website using code SAVE30. The E39 has quickly become one of my staple eye brushes because it is small enough to do more detailed crease work and fluffy enough to really blend the colour out. Of course, I always finish off any eye look with a good coat or two of mascara. The Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara* has been my absolute favourite. It gives my lashes volume, length, and an all day curl.
Although summer is usually about wearing bright colours on the lips, I just can't stop wearing neutrals. The Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow has been my go-to. It is just so long lasting and easy to apply. Thank you, Cindy, for the recommendation! I buy just about everything she recommends me!
The heat has got me rediscovering brow products in my collection. Currently, I can't get enough of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate for a long lasting, defined brow. I never have to worry about the product fading away throughout the day. Even with all the heat and humidity, my brows look the same at the end of the day as they did when the product was first applied. My addiction to this product has also encouraged me to keep up with the shape of my brows. I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Tweezers. They allow for precision I have never been able to get with other tweezers, and catch even the smallest hairs. I highly recommend them!
All products featured in this post are from brands that do not test on animals. Most of them were also used in a recent FOTD post.
