A Blush For Anything

I hoard an unhealthy amount of blushes, and am currently on a blush-buying ban for my own good. Every time I look at a blush in stores, I can think of a similar one I already own.

With plum tones being oh so popular in the autumn and winter I have been reaching for NARS Sin, a gorgeous berry shade with gold shimmers running through it. It is absolutely perfect paired with a vampy or just generally berry-toned lip. It is surprisingly wearable as it isn't too flashy, neutral almost, like the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed. Whenever I wear Exposed, I feel like it brings out my cheekbones without having to contour. There is something about it that is just so wearable and perfect with any lip shade.

Similar to it is NARS Luster, my first high-end blush. This apricot shade has gold shimmers in it that isn't too much but gives a nice glow. It is another one that I can wear with just about any lip and a good one for any time of the year, especially during season transitions like now. As we dive into spring, I'm easing my way into shades like Tarte Natural Beauty, a red-pink that gives a healthy flush to the cheeks. It can be worn all year round but I think it is particularly good for spring.

The one I reserve for summer is Tarte Tipsy, a true coral that makes an excellent candidate for days when wearing a coral lip. I've learned that I like a nice matchy-matchy look sometimes and this blush just becomes a summer essential for me as coral lips and are must for the warm weather.
