Sheer It Out
I find confidence in wearing a full coverage foundation as my acne scars are still finding their way out but as my skin is healing, I'm starting to ease my way into the world of more sheer coverage foundations.
In the past couple months, I have been loyally wearing the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation for a comfortable, full coverage finish. Its creamy texture is surprisingly not cakey though it does require more time and effort to evenly blend out with a buffing brush. For bad skin days, this is a great foundation as you can quickly achieve a full coverage look.
So what happens when I want to sheer it out? Enter the recently rediscovered BeautyBlender. Using a pea-sized amount of the foundation, I disperse it all over my face and blend away with this bouncy pink sponge. I tend to use the flat end to work the foundation out evenly all over the face then go in around the nose and under the eyes with the pointy end. It helps to sheer out the foundation and give a natural, skin-like finish.
When I have time, this is the perfect combination for better skin days. Have you tried the BeautyBlender and if so, which foundation do you like to use with it?
