Review | LUSH Bohemian Soap
Back in January, I purchased a handful of LUSH soaps. Unfortunately I didn't get on so well with two of the three, which included the Snow Globe Soap, but surprisingly I had a little bit more luck with Bohemian.
Bohemian is an incredibly fresh-smelling soap that shouts lemons, which was the reason why I was drawn to it in the first place. I adore citrus scents because they're so uplifting and refreshing. Bohemian is targeted towards more oily skin which I thought would be good for the warmer months. That being said, I found that this soap was indeed quite clarifying which is lovely in the summer but I can see this being a little too stripping for the cooler months or for anyone with dry skin. Although it gets you squeaky clean, I didn't find it irritating like the other two LUSH soaps. I checked the ingredients list and I have a sneaky feeling that it's down to the evil SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) which Bohemian does not contain, but the others did.
I'm not 100% sure if it's because this doesn't have SLS, but Bohemian doesn't lather well. I find that I have to glide it all over my body which means I use quite a lot of the soap each time. The scent is lovely though and it's not too strong so I'm happy to glide it over my body over and over again.
At $7.50CAD/100g, it's a little pricey but I would repurchase it as a treat in the future.
I would recommend this soap to anyone with normal to oily skin, especially in the warmer months.
