BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask

Tinted lip balms are one of my favourite kind of lip products to wear on a daily basis. They are easy to apply and comfortable on the lips. I typically reach for tinted lip balms that come in lipstick-like packaging, so the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask in Smashed was not one I was reaching for or carrying around. Fortunately, I found a way to make it worth the effort.

ON ITS OWN: Of course, since the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask in Smashed is really a tinted lip balm, it is the easiest to just wear it on its own. I apply a thin layer of it over my lips for a tinted, glossy, and hydrating finish. Above is a photo of it over my natural lip colour.

OVER A MATTE LIP: This is my favourite way of glossing up a matte lip without the sticky feel. I'll apply a matte lip product first such as the BITE Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Torte as pictured here, or even just a lip pencil all over the lips, then finish it off with a light layer of the lip mask patted over top.

As someone who avoids lip glosses because I can't stand the sticky finish or sometimes, the chunky glitters, this is perfect. I learned the tip from a video by Sephora Pros, so thank you to them for this! I now have a reason to reach for the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask more regularly.

By the way, the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Masks come in clear, Champagne, and Maple (if you're in Canada) so if this is too pigmented for you, try the other shades! I'm eager to try Champagne for my nude or light pink lip colours.

Have you tried the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Masks? How do you use yours?
