Last month I managed to get my hands on the NUDESTIX #NUDELIPKIT 3 Piece Mini Set which turned out to be a great introduction to the brand. I had not tried anything by NUDESTIX prior to this purchase, not even a single swatch in stores. The brand never stood out to me until I saw Kyra post one of their products on Instagram which got me on the Sephora website just in time to order the set before it ran out of stock. I'm so glad I picked this up, because NUDESTIX is quickly climbing into the list of my most reached for lip product brands.

Of the three products contained in this set, I was most excited to try the NUDESTIX Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil in Belle. As you may have seen in my matte lip recommendations post from earlier in the week, I love matte lip products and this particular one was quick to impress. This plum-toned nude is just the perfect shade for any neutral look, and with its waterproof formula I know it'll last for hours. It's just an excellent everyday lip product for me. Though this product, as well as the other two I'm about to mention, double as a cheek product, I have yet to test them out that way. I don't know that I will because I always stick to powder products on the face, but for the sake of reviewing these as cheek products I may have to give them a go in the near future.

When looking up swatches of NUDESTIX products, I often ran into swatches of the NUDESTIX Lip + Cheek Pencil in Mystic. It appears to be a popular shade, and I can understand why. It is a neutral nude that is incredibly wearable and likely to be suitable for many skin tones. It gives a beautiful satin finish that wears like the average lipstick. What makes this above average though is the ease of application and its comfortable creaminess that doesn't just slide off.

The one I was most nervous and least drawn to was the NUDESTIX Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balm in Pulse. I was worried the formula would come too glossy and the shade would be too plummy. Fortunately it was a pleasant surprise as the finish is just glossy enough to give a non-sticky sheen, and the shade is quite flattering.

I love that all of NUDESTIX's products come in a mirrored case and sharpener. They're just excellent for on-the-go use. NUDESTIX is a cruelty-free brand, and also a Canadian brand, making it generally a brand that I am very happy to support.

Have you tried NUDESTIX?
