Though Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals were tempting, I didn't go too crazy. I only ended up with some bits to add to my upcoming winter capsule wardrobe rotation. I received early access to the Aritzia Black Friday sale so I was lucky enough to pick up some bits that have been on my wishlist for some time in my size. I also finally managed to pick up some booties I had on my wishlist since last year.

Anyone who knows me in real life know that I live in Rag & Bone jeans. Something about the fit and material of their denim is just fantastic. They're stretchy yet structured, and just generally incredible quality. I picked up the Rag & Bone/JEAN Skinny Ayoyama at the half the price in a dark wash with a lived-in look. The wash is just beautiful and the rips at the knees are perfectly placed for my height.

I've also grown to love turtleneck sweaters recently, as the weather has dropped below zero and snow is starting to cover the city. For the longest time I hated turtlenecks as I associated them with my mother's tacky tops. One day I just popped into Aritzia and asked for as many of their turtlenecks as possible just to try them on and fell in love with the looser neck as it gives a casual yet warm effect. The Community Plutarch Sweater is just so super soft and is incredibly warm as it's a blend of wool, yak, nylon, and spandex. I picked up the colour Heather Dark Comet as I don't have anything like it, just for a change. The other turtleneck is the Wilfred Durandal Sweater in Heather Milk. It didn't seem the most practical to have a sleeveless sweater but this is actually incredibly warm as it keeps the core toasty. It'll be gorgeous with a leather jacket in the autumn and spring, but it has been fantastic under a wool coat in this winter weather.

Scarves are such a staple in my wardrobe and the Wilfred Haus Rectangle in Neutral Multi for half the price was again too good to pass up. While I do love blanket scarves, this one is a smaller rectangle that will be great with tighter coats that don't have as much room for an extra layer of scarf.

Finally, the Sam Edelman Petty Bootie in Putty. I waited and waited for them to go on sale and finally, they were 50% off on and I just couldn't say no. Something about the shape and fit of the shoes are just so lovely and smaller chunky heel makes it easy for a flats lover like me to transition into.

What did you end up picking up during Black Friday?
