BITE Beauty makes up about half of my collection of lip products so to cut down the size of the post, I decided to split it into two. Part one features lipsticks while part two features lip pencils.

A little background on the brand, Toronto-based BITE Beauty offers a range of lip products made of food-grade ingredients good enough to eat. The growing brand has me buying at least one shade from almost every newly released collection every time because they are just that good.
You eat what you put on your lips, so your lipstick better be good for you.                        - Susanne Langmuir
Based on this philosophy, BITE Beauty has become a brand that we can all trust to deliver quality lip products. In addition to an incredible range of existing shades, they also have the Lip Lab in NYC for you to create your own custom shade. How fun is that? Monthly they are also releasing limited edition shades available at Sephora. If I ever get the chance to head to NYC, the BITE Beauty Lip Lab is one of the places I'll have to visit.

Coming in different shapes and sizes of the same matte textured packaging, my BITE Beauty collection is growing steadily by the season. As of right now, these are the lipsticks I have.

Maple Matte Creme Lipsticks in Mulled Maple and Sugared Maple (LE)
I try not to feature limited edition products but this is a collection post so I should. From this year's Maple Matte Creme collection exclusive to Canada, I picked up two shades. The first was Mulled Maple, a gorgeous deep red and then Sugared Maple, a nice vampy shade that reminds me a lot of MAC Rebel. The formula is similar to the Luminous Creme line but comes off with a more matte finish as the name would suggest.

Lip Lab Limited Release Crème Deluxe Lipstick in 010 Boysenberry (LE)
Described as a blue-toned violet, this shade is definitely out of my comfort zone but certainly looks better on me than expected. I did a mini review of it early in October when it was first released and found out that this week the shade has been released temporarily along with all the other shades from the months of this year. I just picked up 003 Chilly Pepper which I'm excited to finally try out. If you're interested in any of these limited release shades, check Sephora online now.

Luminous Creme Lipstick in Mauvember (LE) and Fig
When it comes to a good lipstick formula, the Luminous Creme line definitely checks many boxes. The lipsticks are comfortable to wear, pigmented, and easy to apply. Mauvember was a limited edition shade released last month in Canada only, and Fig is a nude rose that is part of their permanent collection.

Butter Cream Lipstick in Pecan
This range of lipsticks was released early in year as ultra creamy lipsticks featuring a hand cut flat top that claims to expose just the creaminess of the product and removes any waxes. Pecan is a warm dusty pink that is more of an everyday shade for me, but every colour in this range is very wearable and would all look great on most people. The packaging of this product is much more weighed than other BITE Beauty lipsticks which adds a luxurious, sleek feel.

Opal Creme Lipstick
I swatched this one on bare lips, but this can be applied on top of any other lipstick for that multidimensional, opalescent finish. It definitely changes the way any lipstick looks and adds a good amount of sheen and sparkle to the lips.

Have you tried BITE Beauty lipsticks? Which are your favourites?
