Spring is here and that means the pastels come back out for me. Since growing my nails longer I have preferred bare nails over a solid block of colour, but I decided to inject a little colour back into my life with a colour French manicure.

Enter Essie Absolutely Shore, one of my most used nail polishes. This light sea foam green shade is such a nice spring-like colour and goes well with my typically monochromatic outfits. I applied two coats of this to the tips of my nails and cleaned up the edges with cotton buds in nail polish remover. For the rest of the nails, I went with two coats of the Nails Inc NailKale Illuminator for a healthy and polished look.

To top it all off, I used the Nails Inc Top Coat With Kensington Caviar to add shine and increase the wear time. Not only does it leave a nice finish, it also dries quickly allowing me to carry on with my work just minutes after I finish off my manicure session.

I'm sure this will become my go-to spring nail look but perhaps I will rotate between a couple of shades to see how they look.

What will you be wearing on your nails this spring?

  2. I've been growing my nails to do something like this as well! I was planning on doing a pastel pink french manicure but one of my nails broke last week, so I'll have to wait a bit. I love the color you chose!

  8. I think that's my happy length now. Anything longer is a little too much for me.
Haha the Essie polish is well loved indeed. I couldn't stop wearing it last year and I've only had it for about a year. xx
