I didn't know buttery eyeshadows until I tried Urban Decay eyeshadows. The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette is one of my favourites of the bunch. This nearly entirely matte palette is perfect for an everyday look on its own or paired with a winged liner look as a neutral base. Even if you already have plenty of palettes, this one should fill the gap to satisfy all your matte shadow needs. Recently though, Urban Decay released the Naked2 Basics palette which has quickly become one of my most reached for palettes. I find that the more taupe-toned shades in this palette suit me more than the original Naked Basics palette. While I personally prefer the Naked2 Basics palette, I wouldn't recommend one over the other because it's really dependent on what tones you prefer.
It is no secret that I adore NARS blushes but it wasn't until just under two months ago that I added a NARS eyeshadow palette to the collection. The NARS And God Created The Woman palette was everywhere about a year and a half ago and has since been re-released with minor changes in the form of the And God Created The Woman Part 2 palette. I may be late to jump on the bandwagon but at least I'm not missing out on these high quality shimmery shadows. Falling so deeply in love with NARS eyeshadows, I recently also decided to purchase two NARS Eyeshadow Duos as well. The first is the Kalahari duo featuring a bronze pearl and milk chocolate pairing. The second is Charade, a pairing of muted mauve with smokey plum.
Like many girls, I went through a MAC phase where I would lust over the big custom fifteen pan eyeshadow palettes. Being more controlled, I decided to go with two quads instead with one still incomplete. The first palette features Ricepaper, All That Glitters, Soba, and Patina. I love wearing Ricepaper all over the lids with Soba in the crease. In the darker quad I have Satin Taupe, Woodwinked, and Soba. I don't reach for these quads nearly as often as I should, to be honest.
Last but not least is a UK drugstore offering by Collection. In a swap, I got the Collection Nude Eye Palette, a fantastic drugstore option if you're looking for a good neutral eyeshadows palette as the shades are wearable and the quality is actually fantastic for the price. The packaging is not the most travel friendly, but it's definitely a good everyday pick to have on your dressing table.
Are you palette obsessed like me? Which palettes do you own and which are your favourite?
