This was a lovely exfoliating cleanser that used charcoal and black sugar to control oil and brighten dull skin. I definitely felt and saw a difference after using this on my face most days as my second cleanser but it was also lovely on the limbs as a gentle scrub. The only problem I had with this was that it left my tub a little dark and required extra cleaning to get the charcoal out.
I would repurchase this.

This sulphate-free soap smells of fruits and citrus, leaving my skin feeling comfortable and smelling fresh. The little kiwi seeds helped to very gently exfoliate the skin and the vitamin C helped to brighten the skin. I absolutely loved this soap!
I would repurchase this.

Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cleanser
This cleanser was lovely to use as my first evening cleanser in the winter. It is a cream cleanser that did a good job at removing makeup and excess oils without being drying at all. This is my first Skyn Iceland product but I'm definitely interested in trying more from them, especially because they are also a cruelty free brand!
I would repurchase this.

This is my go-to daytime moisturizer for my combination skin. It gives my skin the hydration it needs, controls oil throughout the day, and creates a smooth base for foundation and other base products. I really enjoy using the seaweed range from The Body Shop and this is a product that will always be in my collection.
I have already repurchased this.

This two phase makeup remover was a little too oily in my opinion and it wasn't as effective on mascara as Bioderma Sensibio H2O is. It isn't cheap either so I personally don't think it's worth the money. The cleansing balm from the same range is fantastic though, but that's a different story.
I will not be repurchasing this.

I really enjoyed using this on my body as an intense moisturizer. Two to three pumps of this product will cover my entire leg and one pump will do for my arms. Most days I focused this on my knees and elbows but when I shaved my legs, I applied this all over my legs to keep my legs smooth and nourished. Surprisingly, this little 50mL bottle lasted me a couple of months.
I would purchase this.

This mask claims to brighten and hydrate the skin but I didn't notice much of a difference after using this twice. I applied a reasonably thick layer, allowed it to dry completely, then peeled it off. The peeling process was a little painful and quite difficult. It left my skin red and dry which was quite disappointing.
I won't be purchasing this.

This smelled quite lovely and was moisturizing. It's a thick moisturizer but it doesn't feel greasy and sinks into the skin within a reasonable amount of time. It scent is stronger than I prefer but that is probably the only downside to this.
I would purchase this.

I loved using this body butter. It smelled slightly nutty but the scent wasn't overpowering. Like all the body butters, this was incredibly nourishing and it sunk into the skin quite quickly.
I would purchase this.

  1. Lovely empties! I haven't heard much about Skyn Iceland, but that cleanser sounds super nice! Same goes for the Body shop mattifying cream, sounds like it does all the right things.

  2. Great empties post! I haven't thought to use argan oil on newly shaved legs, but I think I shall try as I have so much to get through myself!

  3. Great empties! I've been considering switching up my make-up remover and was considering trying out that Clinique one. A little sad to hear that it's too oily, not a great thing for my skin! I'll be sticking with my Bioderma for a little bit longer it seems.

  4. I think my next stop when I run out of my current skincare products will be either LUSH or Clinique. I have always loved natural products so LUSH is like heaven to me. And as for Clinique - I have heard sooo many amazing things, it's a shame you didn't like this product!

  5. The mattifying day cream sounds interesting! I have massive problems with my face getting super oily during the day so it sounds like something I would like, but Caroline Hirons always rants about 'mattifying' products so I can't decide!

  9. Yeah, it's a shame that it can leave a bit of a mess. The product itself is fantastic though! xx
