My first experience with the LUSH Fresh Face Masks wasn't a pleasant one. I was introduced to Brazened Honey, a mask that was simply too harsh for my skin despite not having particularly sensitive skin. In addition to the harshness, it also smelled awful and overall I just did not have a good experience with that particular mask. After the unpleasant experience, I felt hesitant to try more of the LUSH Fresh Face Masks but at the same time, I was curious to know if the other options could work for me. That was when a lovely lady at my local LUSH store introduced me to LUSH Catastrophe Cosmetics. I told her about my experience with Brazened Honey and she immediately offered to exchange my empty Brazened Honey container for a full, fresh Catastrophe Cosmetics mask. In addition to that, she also introduced me to other products in the LUSH skincare line that would be suitable for my skin's needs. I couldn't be happier with the service from that visit!

LUSH Catastrophe Cosmetics is a deep-cleansing mask that works to both prevent and soothe breakouts. It contains ingredients like calamine powder, fresh blueberries, and chamomile blue oil to effectively leave the skin comfortably clean. I apply and leave a layer of this mask on clean skin for about ten minutes, then gently rinse off with warm water. My skin is always more smooth than before and noticeably less red. As you would imagine, this mask smells incredible, just like fresh blueberries. It is so gentle on the skin that I can easily use it every other day for a quick treatment. I personally have combination, blemish prone skin and I never feel my skin tight after using this. I definitely think this is a mask that would be suitable for all skin types, as mentioned on the LUSH website.

The LUSH Fresh Face Masks are priced at about $7CAD each and are only available in stores. The only downside to these masks is that it doesn't last long as it contains just fresh ingredients that stay good in the fridge for about three weeks. When you think about it, it is definitely not the most cost effective mask but it certainly is a pleasant treat.

Have you tried the LUSH Fresh Face Masks?

  6. I think it depends on which LUSH store. Some LUSH stores have such overwhelming assistants! My friend worked at LUSH over the holiday season and she said that the managers keep track of all their sales and make it quite competitive. :( I'm glad I found someone who was actually willing to help!

It's too bad your local LUSH closed down. An online order sounds like a good idea! xx

  9. This sounds like a really lovely mask! The customer service sounds awesome too! I've never really thought to check out Lush's masks simply because it takes me ages to finish up/use face masks and it would probably expire before I finished it. I might have to check them out now though!

This mask sounds so good! I have tried one when I lived in England because they're way cheaper there, in Austria I'd have to spend about 18 Dollars and that's way too much for my budget haha :) xx

  13. I've never tried any of the Fresh Mask but because of my blemish proned skin this sounds like something that could be very beneficial for my skin! I will have to look into it next time I am in a Lush store!
