As mentioned in my recent Bright New Things post, I was a little shocked and intimidated by the Bobbi Brown Blush in Apricot. This hyped up, bright pink shade is different from everything else that currently exists in my collection and is the first Bobbi Brown product to introduce itself to my collection.

Unlike my favourite NARS blushes this Bobbi Brown blush gives a satin, almost matte finish when applied. When applied right, Apricot gives the cheeks a naturally flushed look. It is an incredibly pigmented blush though so it can easily become too much. It is quite smooth to apply though so even if it seems like too much at first, the mistake is fairly easy to fix with a clean brush or my foundation brush around the edges. The product is also quite long lasting so a little will go a long way.

There is no excess packaging on this product which makes it a travel-friendly pick. The packaging can easily be wiped clean as well which is always nice, even though I love the rubbery feel of NARS packaging. Instead of a mirror, the lid has a window to see what shade lives inside which I like because I rarely use the mirrors inside blushes anyway.

I definitely recommend the Bobbi Brown blushes, particularly Apricot for the spring and summer.
It is $30CAD for 0.13oz of product, available online and in stores at Sephora.

Have you tried the Bobbi Brown blushes?

  12. I've never tried Bobbi Brown blushes but this one sounds beautiful! The good thing about super pigmented blushes is that they last for a long time :)

  13. I have their blush in Peony which I really like! From the looks of things, this is more coral. The quality and usability is great -- easy to build up but also easy to sheer out.

  17. This looks beautiful Celina. Up until yet I've tried just a couple of things from Bobbi Brown and they have all been lovely. I think a blush may be on the cards for my birthday in July :)

  27. Haha in that case, I will have to check out Nectar. I haven't had a chance to really look at Bobbi Brown products before but I think I'll have to give their products a closer look. Thank you for the suggestion! xx

  28. Love the color! I think a great dupe for Apricot would be Mocha by NYX. The pigmentation is not so great; however, a trick I learned is to put a bit of vaseline on my skin before applying blush, and the color really stands out! Gorgeous blog :) I was absolutely blown away by your minimalist design.

  30. Thanks for the lovely comments! :)
I haven't tried NYX blushes before but I have heard that they have several dupes for higher end blushes such as Terracotta which is a dupe for NARS Luster. xx
