If I could only buy makeup from one brand for the rest of my life, it would likely be MAC. There are so many fantastic products to choose from thanks to their large range of products, shades, and textures. Recently I have been all about their lipsticks and eyeshadows but there are also a couple of other products new to my collection as well.

Lipsticks weren't common purchases for me until recently when I made an effort to try something new with my makeup. The first lipstick that pushed me into my MAC lipstick obsession is MAC Ruby Woo, a blue-toned red that gives the lips a bold, matte finish. This is truly confidence in a tube, in my opinion; I wear this during the day on weekends and evenings, and I always feel a boost of confidence. For daily wear though, I tend to reach for MAC Syrup, an unexpectedly stunning shade. Described as a cloudy pink shade, this lustre finish lipstick is perfect for a hint of colour. I can see myself wearing this shade all year round.

I recently transferred my MAC eyeshadows into two quads because filling up a fifteen pan palette was just too much. MAC All That Glitters is an incredibly wearable pink-toned shade that is perfect for a light, shimmery wash as featured in this post from a couple weeks back. The next I added to my quads was MAC Espresso, a matte muted golden brown shade that I have been using for various purposes. I initially selected it as a brow shade but I am also loving it in the crease or along the lash line.

From their latest collection, Alluring Aquatic, I picked up the MAC Alluring Aquatic Extra Dimension Blush in Sea Me, Hear Me. I haven't worn it yet but I'm certainly looking forward to it, particularly when transitioning from summer to fall later in the year as it is a little darker than other pinks in my collection. It will be a good blush to finish off a perfected base thanks to the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in NC30. I have been using this powder foundation as a finishing powder over areas that need more coverage or on its own on days where I'm just running errands. It will be perfect for the hot summer days as I find that it stays quite well on my combination skin, especially with a little help from MAC Fix+.

What products have you picked up from MAC recently?

  1. I'm not quite a MAC kinda gal (only ever had a lipglass), but I feel like MAC products are intriguing me more and more. Too many collections to keep up with, but classics like Ruby Woo and Syrup (as well as the 217 brush, Patisserie, and Patina Eyeshadow) are items that I'm hoping to pick up in the near future :)

  2. MAC's latest Alluring Aquatic collection looks absolutely glorious, the packaging is stunning! While my wishlist is ever growing, I doubt I'll be building my collection any time soon. MAC is just WAY too overpriced here in Australia!

  12. Celina, you have made so many good purchases in this haul! I also recently bought the Fix + spray and I absolutely love it, it's setting power is absolutely amazing - well worth the price tag. I'm really intrigued by the AA blush, it looks absolutely amazing!
