‹ Review: Avene Cold Cream Lip Balm ›24.2.14
Avene has always been a brand I wanted to try and in December, I caught this little baby on sale and had to get it because I totally don't already have enough lip balms to begin with (sarcasm!). This has been coming along in my purse every day since the purchase and it has really helped to keep my lips moisturized throughout the day.
The Avene Cold Cream Lip Balm has a scentless scent to it, if you know what I mean. I found it a little odd at first but eventually I just got used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore. I like that this comes in a stick form because it's quick and sanitary for on-the-go applications. A quick swipe will do and can definitely feel a difference right away. The formula is quite stiff and I like that it doesn't leave a tacky feeling to the lips like some lip balms do. It doesn't compare to the Nuxe Reve de Miel, but it's quite similar to the Caudalie Lip Conditioner which I quite enjoy.
I believe this is about $10CAD at its original price which is quite similar to the Caudalie Lip Conditioner. For that price, I probably wouldn't repurchase it again as it's nothing too special and I prefer the Caudalie Lip Conditioner but it does go on sale again, I would pick it up. It does the job and does it well but I don't particularly prefer the scentless scent this has. I would recommend this for anyone who has dry lips though as a little product does go a long way with this and it's convenient to pop in your bag for daytime use.
Have you used the Avene Cold Cream Lip Balm before?
