I'm not a pamper person, but I'm a fan of scrubs. I've tried quite a few scrubs, but I've never tried a scrub in bar form before. Recently, I popped into LUSH and picked up the holiday limited edition Sandy Santa Shower Scrub and found this product quite interesting so I thought I would pick it up.

This scrub uses sand and sugar to exfoliate the skin. It is scented with sweet orange, sandalwood, and rosewood which are some of my favourite essential oils. The mix gives a light earthy scent with hints of citrus and floral. Just before popping out of the shower, I grab this grab this scrub and run it all over my body, sometimes in a circular motion to buff away all the dead skin. I tend to step away from the shower head to avoid the water just to make sure this scrub isn't getting blasted by warm water that will make it disappear faster. When I rinse the scrubby bits off, I'm left with smooth, soft skin that is also moisturized. It isn't too harsh at all so I can actually use it a couple times a week.

I'm quite impressed with this product although it does wear down pretty fast and it will leave sand on the shower floor. The product is quite buttery so it melts down fairly quick, so make sure you keep it away from water and let it dry on a rack of some sort after using it.

Have you tried the Sandy Santa Shower Scrub or any of the other LUSH scrubs?

  8. Yeah, it was weird finding bits of sand on the shower floor! It's super easy to wash away though, fortunately!
