MAC is one of my favourite cosmetics brand although I only own one blush from them so far, I know I love their powder blushes and I've already got a list of the shades I'd like to purchase. The one I currently own is Fleur Power, an incredibly pigmented and natural looking shade that's easy to work with and long-lasting. I have to say, I can sometimes go a little overboard with it but the trick is to start off with a small amount and build it up.

When I was asking the girl at the MAC counter for a recommendation, she immediately showed me to Fleur Power because this was my first blush and figured it would be good to start off with a more natural shade. She described as a shade that gives a "natural flush as if you've been running around outside", which is true! The blush is a Satin finish meaning it's not shimmery but isn't matte so it's got a natural looking sheen and glow to it. It has a smooth texture to it so it's quite easy to blend; if I ever put a little too much on, it's easy to just blend it out and off with a clean brush or previously used foundation brush.

I would say that this is my favourite blush to wear to school or an interview just because it is so natural and just works to enhance my cheeks. It's incredibly long-lasting so I never have to worry about touching it up because it doesn't fade throughout the day. The shade is so wearable and I think it works well with most looks, although I tend to only ever wear very simple makeup looks.

If you're just starting out or want a natural looking blush, I highly recommend Fleur Power.
It's $25CAD for the blush with the container and $21CAD if you're just getting the refill pan.

Which is your favourite natural-looking blusher?

  5. This was one of the first MAC blushes I purchased and loved it. Admittedly, it's been sitting in my drawer unloved but will now whip it out again! xo
